I put Don last because, well he is in Iraq and he can't stop me! Don is currently working in war torn Iraq counseling traumatized civilian contractors. We miss him and are looking forward to his return.

Don is a lead singer and guitarist. He is one of the founding members of this group and a frontman. Don was born and raised in the Panhandle area but spent time in Pennsylvania and Tennessee where he played in bands such as "The Fat Hawaiians" and "The Harem Guys". He jammed around the Amarillo vicinity sitting in with different groups until his brother in law John, slapped him upside his head and they got together with Monty to form Cheap Vices, after his tour of duty at the battle of Vicksburg.

Don's musical influences are much like the rest of us "70s" guys with The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Judas Priest, old rock & roll such as Elvis along with that whole 50's and 60's thing. He likes the progressive country like Hank Williams Jr. and Dwight Yoakum.

Don has been sorely missed and hopefully will return home safely in order to rejoin Cheap Vices.
